Partnership and Collaboration between Zayed Higher Organization and "Silal" Company

Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and Silal, a leading company in the UAE specializing in agricultural food production technology in Abu Dhabi Emirate, have signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU) to support the integration of people with disabilities into agricultural activities and provide employment opportunities for them.

Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and Silal, a leading company in the UAE specializing in agricultural food production technology in Abu Dhabi Emirate, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support the integration of people with disabilities into agricultural activities and provide employment opportunities for them.

The MoU aims to support and achieve social solidarity, contributing to building a community based on mutual support and solidarity by integrating people with disabilities into the agricultural sector, enhancing their role in the local economy by providing job opportunities, improving production, and promoting sustainability.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and Salmeen Al Ameri, CEO of Silal. The signing ceremony took place at the organization's headquarters, attended by leaders from both sides.

Under the MoU, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and Silal will collaborate to integrate people with disabilities into agriculture, adopting sustainable and efficient farming practices. This collaboration aims to improve the quality of life by providing access to employment opportunities in the agricultural sector, enabling these groups to enhance their quality of life and achieve prosperity. Additionally, it aims to enhance social development by activating the role of people with disabilities in agriculture, thereby promoting sustainable development in communities through directing attention and investments towards this sector.

His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Aali Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, welcomed the signing of the memorandum of understanding with Silal Food and Technology Company, a leading company in the field of fresh food products and agricultural technology in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The company was established to realize the visionary leadership of the United Arab Emirates in terms of food security and the development of agricultural outputs by enabling Emirati farmers to find marketing channels for their products and assisting in the development of initiatives and programs that serve these objectives.

He stated that Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination aims to benefit from the company's advanced experience in agricultural technologies to empower and integrate farmers with disabilities, assisting them in producing better agricultural crops and enhancing agricultural sustainability practices by relying on the latest technology solutions, benefiting both producers and consumers in the long run.

His Excellency, the Secretary-General, added that the signing of the memorandum of understanding is a new step from Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination that confirms the organization's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector in the country and supporting efforts to encourage citizens, especially people with disabilities, to engage in agriculture as one of the vital sectors receiving support and encouragement from our wise leadership.

Commenting on this collaboration, Salmeen Al Ameri, CEO of Silal, said, "We are pleased with this partnership, which will enhance the contribution of people with disabilities to the agricultural sector in a systematic scientific manner. We, in collaboration with our partners in Zayed Higher Organization, will provide the necessary expertise and knowledge to support and empower people with disabilities to manage successful and sustainable agricultural projects. At Salalah, we will continue to work along side our partners in both the public and private sectors to develop an integrated system that promotes sustainable growth in the agricultural sector."

It is worth mentioning that Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination previously launched the "Hemam Farms" project through its website to assist and encourage farm owners, agricultural companies, as well as consultants and those interested in agriculture, especially people with disabilities and their guardians, in choosing suitable crops and agricultural plans to enable them to increase their production and enhance their capabilities.
